Thailand Protests, Army Opens Fire | 14 May 2010 – Midday Report

A reporter has described how a sniper’s bullet whizzed over his head and smacked into the forehead of a renegade general as the Thai army tried to seal off a Red Shirt camp in the heart of Bangkok.

Suspended Thai army general Khattiya Sawasdipol, also known as Seh Daeng, is in a coma after being shot in the head during clashes which claimed the life of at least one protester on Thursday night.
